This is obviously for people who have trouble walking more than a step or two. It is on wheels to make it easier to move it from room to room. The wheels LOCK when you are going to place someone in it!!!

My mother had one of these and believe me, it was a lot easier to help her stand up, turn, and sit again than it was to make her stand up, walk all the way to the bathroom, then back. Not to mention if said person has a bedroom that is on a different floor than the bathroom.

I guess it’s easy to make fun of this – but remembering my mother’s last weeks doesn’t make it very funny at all.

Why the hell would a toilet chair need wheels? Unless you plan on wheeling Granny around for the family outing on this thing. Then, at least, you don’t have to worry about changing her Depends, I guess.

Seriously though, to me it looks like this thing was designed so people could actually STAY on it. Why else would it have wheels? *Can’t get over the wheels.*

Could you imagine if this thing were placed on an incline and some unsuspecting old person got on it (or maybe tried to is the right thing to say; I can just see it scooting out of each every time the old person tries to sit down XD)? All it takes is a bit of rocking to send that bad boy rolling, and God forbid the thing hasn’t been cleaned before the ride is over.

Now that I think about it, anyone forcing an elderly person to use this should be charged with negligence, or perhaps abuse. Hell, I think it could easily pass in court as torture.

What I have to wonder is, wouldn’t the person have troubles getting to a loo have just as hard a time getting on this? Why not gather them on a wheelchair and wheel them to the bathroom? Or even a chamber pot? It just seems like an excuse to leave them on the chair all day

sweet! i just need to find me a way to milwaukee and i’m gonna have my new office chair. i’ll never have to get up from a session of WoW for those pesky bathroom runs. i’m trying to kill a lich king, dammit! i don’t have time to get up to take a dump. i’ll just grunt one out right there. just gotta remember to turn my mic on mute or the whole vent channel will have questions for me, i’m sure.

If you clean and disinfect it after every use you’ll find you don’t have to periodically sandblast the chunks out.

Can you imagine the poor, helpless “elderly individual” forced to use this for YEARS while it built up *residue*?
