Martha Stewart’s Pork Meatballs

Free to a good home. I ate most of the first pack but they were too “porky” for my taste. They are frozen so they are still edible if not “porky”. Personally I think Martha could have done better.

There’s nothing more appetizing than partially consumed food rejects.

Here’s the pitch: “A couple disclaimers. This is bad. It’s been in my car. It’s been in my kitchen. It’s been in and out of my freezer a few times. And again, just bad – ‘porky’ really. But I thought you might like to have it. I mean, we’re complete strangers, right? And who doesn’t want to visit a complete stranger to collect some bad, partially consumed food? See you soon, stranger.”

I also like the first part of the ad which states: “free to a good home.” Now, I could understand that comment where animals (for instance) are concerned, but meatballs?!!

I mean, is this person really worried what could happen to the meatballs in, say, a bad home?

It looks a little too porky to me.

I just can’t stop laughing. Maybe she finds home for all those holiday cheeseballs too.

+1 for tossing the plastic bag in a frying pan for presentation. Good homes will come running. I’m sure.
Might as well just turn on the burner and melt that polymer sack. Feel free to shoot yourself while you’re at it. I’m sure some good home will come by for your free corpse… Besides, how else are we supposed to feed grandpa?

Perhaps she meant “plasticky” instead of “porky”…

  7. Amy says:

Yeah, the scary thing is those meatballs come from Ikea. Ikea does not have a store in Alaska nor do they ship here….I saw that ad a while back….ew

    DO NOT WANT!

LOL @ “free to a good home”. Is a good home one where they’ll be eaten and give the eater horrific food poisoning, or one who’ll save the neighborhood from a possible health hazard and chuck them in the Dumpster? Or maybe a good home is one where the person throws these things in the freezer and then completely forgets about them for a year, by which time they’ve welded to the side of the freezer?

I find it funny that this person ate a whole pack even though they allegedly taste too “porky”. If that’s the case why did they make themselves eat the whole pack?

And how the hell does pork taste too porky? What else is it supposed to taste like, chocolate?
