free metal shed

I can’t believe someone would give away a building designed by Frank Gehry! What’s next, tossing a Picasso?

I’m sorry, that was insensitive – this thing just fell down drunk. Look away, people. It’s already embarrassed enough.

There should be a thought bubble above this shed that just says “Ow.”

I’ve never felt sympathy for a shed before but I feel really bad for this one. Poor thing.

  2. S. says:

Is it just my imagination, or is the trailer behind it… sinking? Maybe this is from twister country…

  3. dpup77 says:

So once they get rid of the shed, is the trailer in the background up for sale? Because I would be interested in that, but not until the shed is gone.

  4. Bill says:

Maybe the shed felt bad for the trailer that is sinking and decided to collapse to make it feel better.

  5. Molly says:

I’m not sure if the trailer is sinking or if it was just knocked off it’s wheels by the tree that was dropped on top of it. Maybe the shed fell down while trying to make it’s escape during the storm?

  6. JD says:

This is actually a temporary FEMA home up for sale. The trailer in the back is the newly bought and installed FEMA home.

  7. Korimyr the Rat says:

Maybe it’s an inflatable metal shed?

The scrappers will take it. They’ll take ANYTHING made of metal. I had an old, broken oven to get rid of. I could have taken it to the dump, but that would take effort. So, I left it on the curb, along with a broken mower with parts missing at about 4pm. By 5pm it was gone. I love the scrappers!

  9. Art Museum says:

What the? That’s MY shed! What the hell is this person giving it away for? The cat is still using it.

Totally. They picked up my metal shed pieces. Tried to make it sound like they were doing me a favour, but if it was true, why the fuck would you stop then? You don’t stop if it’s not worth your time. Funny how people don’t realize the value of things in North America..

When I scrolled down to this, studied the pic a minute & read the caption, I laughed. and laughed hard. People at work wonder WTF.
Best one I saw yet today.
    ‘Free Shed’ LOL

  12. [...] bookend on the right was trying to imagine what it could do with this, and its head exploded. An object lesson in not “overthinking” things, [...]

  13. Sacho says:

    @JD sad, but funny. :)

  14. Steve KAAAAAM says:

Never seen a metal shed. Looks like it wasn’t intended to be used as a storage facility, looks like someone drunkenly hit it… a lot.

  15. digforfire says:

Just like dnaburns, I too laughed at work. Made a crummy day much better. Whoever writes these op/ed captions is a genius.

  16. splurp says:

Disaster management notwithstanding, I have to step in and defend Frank Gehry because the new Art Gallery of Ontario building in Toronto, Canada kicks ass! My 10-year-old daughter and her friends were running around like we took them to a theme park: http://www.ago.net/frank-gehry-redesigned-ago

  17. Aware says:

    Scrap metal for meth heads…

  18. Dannikai says:

I am from that part of the country and, sadly, that is not the only shed of that type there. Even sadder, I am SURE someone stopped by and picked it up.

  19. Inara says:

It looks just like the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute (Designed by Frank Gehry) in Las Vegas and that cost $73 million. To see the similarities go to:

  20. Demetrius says:

The mass of metal in that shed looks to be worth decent money for the effort of hauling it away. We had bags of aluminum cans in the basement waiting until I had time to deal with them. Eventually, I told the kids they could split the money if they got them crushed. I was kicking myself as I watched the tally go up past $90!

  21. MomTMC says:

    @Inara
Oh my word! It does! LOL!

  22. Reddcat says:

Haha!! “i’m sorry – that was insensitive “

  23. Kevin says:

Looks like somebody couldn’t keep his shed together.

    Probably funnier when read aloud.

  24. Hello. Great job, if I wasn’t so busy with my school work I read your entire site. Thanks!
