A Lot Of Bunnies

Found On: Sacramento Craigslist By: EJ

if you are in need of a bunch of quality, clean, pretty much brand new stuffed bunnies…they are waiting for you at the entrance of GreenBack Estates which is located at the corner of Auburn Blvd and Donegal St……come quick

Beware the Night Bunny. It may give you immortality – but at the cost of your soul.

Love the idea that it occurred to this donor that some night photography was in order: “NOW! Dammit, bring the rabbits! Bring them now! I need to take this picture now! No, it can’t wait ’til morning! Line them up! You left one out! Go back to the house and get it! We need to get this done NOW! Take the rabbits’ picture! I need to get rid of these!”

I understand methamphetamine supercharges housekeeping/order-creating impulses, so . . . probably meth. New tag? Yes, new tag. “Probably meth.”

No, see, it started off with just two bunnies there under the Greenback Estates sign and then, well, within short order things were completely out of control as you can clearly see from the blurry, too-far-away picture.

  2. Jim- Bob says:

Damn bunnys. They breed like rabbits!

  3. Marge says:

    lulz. BUNNICULA!

  4. JD says:

Need to call animal control before they take over the community. Hope they are not rabbited.

I think you’re missing the point with this ad. The poster is the Greenback Estates neighborhood curmudgeon who hates the stupid holiday decorations the HOA always forces upon him. A covert night operation and a quick Craigslist add and the problem is solved.

    Robbie? Is that you?

Naw, I actually live about 15 miles from this area and the author is right, its most likely meth involved. The place is a super old ass run down “duplex/tri-plex” neighborhood filled with “top notch” citizens. Still funny as hell though!

  8. Kitten says:

I don’t see what’s wrong with this picture. It’s perfectly normal. The sign that says ‘Greenback Estates’ is a light-up sign, so him/her took a picture at night, to look cool or pretty. And another thing-stuffed bunnies are a great gift to a child, stuffed animal collector, or an Easter gift! This makes perfect sense, if you think that is.

  9. Jodi says:

“Greenback Estates” is ghetto. I drove by this place the day of the posting, because i saw the ad and wanted to see for myself. I live a few mins down the road. Shockingly some nutjob was enticed enough to take all of them already, and the sign was sadly devoid of bunnies.

  10. BIG123 says:

I’m not sure what scares me more, that someone posted this ad or that you drove by to look.

  11. Sacho says:

    i’m moving. seriously. lol.

  12. whatmeth says:

I’m with kitten on this one. Even if it is a ghetto area, the ad layout makes sense. I guess as someone who, er…appreciates order, I’ve kinda had it with with the meth jokes…and, perhaps the nutjob that took these bunnies donated them? I would have if I lived nearby.

  13. SirDonMister says:

How, no, seriously, how come no one put 1 and 1 together when this was submited, hell it’s only missing some candies aside the bunnies and maybe a pedobear hiding arround.

Yes totally meth, or the search for shady profits.

  14. Dayzd says:

I love the new category “Probably Meth” and I imagine it will fill up fast! ;-D

No, no, I did something like this last year with my sister-in-law’s beanie baby collection. That’s why it’s at night, see. Had to wait ’til she slept. Sure, a little meth maybe. Get up my nerves and all. Then posto and adios beanies! Works amazingly well.

Hey…This is the person who posted this ad on Craigslist. I’m amazed that, first of all, I came across the pic doing an image search on a totally unrelated subject, and secondly, that my little giveaway created such an interesting debate. For anyone who really wants to knerow….My Mother just retired from teaching, she used to use stuffed animals as prizes for her kids. She had so many left over stuffed animals that she had no place to store. I decided to help her find a home for them…had a yard sale, got rid of many, but forgot about a entire bag of bunnies (she had them seperated by type). I was going to donate them to a ihospital or charity, but figured it might be fun to see if any neighborhood kids might just want them. I put them out at night because I was a bit embarassed about what I was doing, but due to how fast they disapeared…I guess it was fine. And for all of you who seem to think this is a dangerous neighborhood….I think you’ve got it wrong…I’ve been here two years now and find it a pleasent place to live.
