beer bottle caps

INAD - bottle-caps

Found by: Madison on Craigslist

6 oz. of beer bottle caps. there for sure are several full ‘decks’ of pbr caps. i love these caps so much and want to keep them but times are tough and i need to find them a good home. bucket not included.

Times are tough, so your bottle caps have to go? I’m not following. How much care and feeding do they take? I mean, it’s not like the little fellas are going through a bag of Purina Bottle Cap Chow every day, are they?

But I’ll try to provide a good home. One where they don’t have to do too many chores, they get plenty of sleep, and they have not only basic cable, but a few carefully selected premium channels. They’ll be entertained by reruns of “The Wonder Beers,” and enjoy guilty pleasures like “America’s Next Top Bottle.” Yes, your bottle caps are going to be just fine.

sometimes i think that society is indeed getting more “interesting”! how much care do you actually need to store bottle caps???
For me, it looks like the actual person really has put so much love in collecting them that he would rather give someone else these “exclusive” rights to trash them out. :D

  2. Frank77 says:

How much money can you get out of them if they’re not antiques?

  3. Josh says:

The bucket is not included? Yeah, way to make it easier for me, jerk.

  4. Muninn says:

Honestly, there are a handful of Etsy.com sellers that would jump on this. I’ve seen people make things out of old twist-offs that would make your head spin!

  5. Gordon says:

I was interested in purchasing the entire collection until I read “bucket not included”. No bucket, no sale!!
    Bloody liberty!

  6. Jessica says:

this has to be a joke.

  7. dono1 says:

“Several full decks”? Sounds like he isn’t even playing with one.

  8. vault-dweller says:

wow! that’s a lot of caps! enough for me to have a great dinner of iguana on a stick and some dandy boy apples…

I do believe he drank all that PBR at one sitting, then posted this. (After a short detour to the Necessary Room.) Okay, maybe he had a pal help him.

When I was a kid in the early 1970s, I “decorated” my room with “streamers” made from 1000s of pull-tabs (remember those?). But then one day I realized it was STUPID and I took them down and THREW THEM AWAY. Just dumped them unceremoniously in the trash, just like that.

Today, we have a BETTER way – craigslist. Our collective landfill thanks you.

Actually, he needs to get rid of these caps soon as he has already found a good home for the bucket. The purchase agreement for the bucket included a delay clause stating that the buyer could not take delivery on the bucket until the caps were well cared for.

  11. Joe Mama says:

I don’t get it. What is a “full deck” of PBR caps? And seriously, you can’t part with a 50 cent plastic bucket? “I really hate to part with these bottle caps, but damn it, nobody’s ever going to take my plastic bucket.” Maybe he’s got a bunch of plastic bottle caps from 20 oz. soda bottles to put in it.

  12. Vistaru says:

Hm… Are these caps twist-offs? If not, they can be used by anyone who brews / bottles their own beer…

  13. blargh says:

Nuka-Cola caps. Because after the zombie apocalypse arrives, these WILL become the currency of the realm.

  14. Kevin says:

This doesn’t look at all like 6 pounds of bottlecaps.

  15. Stephanie says:

@Joe Mama PBR caps have a card and suit on the back. Apparently some people like to collect the entire set. I’m not sure what you do with 52 bottle caps that have card designations on them, but there you have it.

  16. Josh says:

These would awesome for my LARPing version of Fallout 3.

  17. JD says:

” …I Love these caps.” I have to question how shallow this person is as to give up these caps and not even allow them their home (bucket). Must not be into commitments. Probably will give away a few at a time and break up the family. A true sad story and a picture of our hard times. (tears rolling down my face)

  18. nyxalinth says:

    @Josh
I was thinking ‘If you had these in the Fallout Universe, you’d be rich!

  19. D says:

Well I know of people who have lacquered their coffee tables with bottle caps. Small diy projects with bottle caps can turn out quite cool.

  20. “Hard times” probably means “I have to move and can’t take all the utter crap I’ve been collecting”.

    @vault-dweller

    Damn….I was too late

But I guess the seller is a LOLrus,so he wants to keep his bucket :D

I’ll bet he’s met a new girl, and doesn’t want her to know he drinks shitty beer.
