Unwanted TV

November 14th, 2009

Funny-Classified-TV
Found On: Seattle Craigslist

Free TV and Stand. Both are sitting in the front of the house waiting for a new home. TV works, but just upgraded recently. Sorry for bad photo, took quick snapshot from the living room.

“That’s right TV and stand! You keep on walking! Don’t you come back – don’t you even turn around.”

I never knew how lonely a TV could look.

If it could cry, it would be.

  2. Tina says:

Odd as it is, I think I would take the tv for the kids room:)

  3. Sensei Le Roof says:

Giving a TV like that away for free? What’s the catch?

  4. JD says:

Poor TV. Probably spent many years entertaining and having to watch disgusting people staring at it, yelling, and using profane language, maybe even being intimate. Now is languishing outside uncertain of its future, unloved, not cared for. Tis a sad story.

  5. Joe Mama says:

Well at least the neighbors could watch it from their driveway.

  6. Anna Rexia says:

That might not work where I live. If it wasn’t hauled off within five minutes, someone would either drive by with a baseball bat or similar object, or just run into it “accidentally” then drive off. Chances are, though, someone would snag it within those first minutes, bookcase/TV stand included.

  7. Alex says:

Ah man, I’m searching a TV, too bad it is far away and probably already in small tiny pieces of metal, glass and plastic.

  8. Kristopher says:

If he puts a “TV, $50″ sign on it, it will get stolen before he looks at it again.

And the theif will put it up on craigslist for free a week later.

  9. choirgirl says:

where i live, it would be taken within minutes. why bother advertizing…

  10. Stickers the Huskyfur of Evilstuffs says:

“No! Bad TV! Don’t you backsass me! You’re about to lose your sattelite priveleges if you don’t come here right this minute! I don’t care if you prefer FOX, we watch CNN in this household!”

  11. S. says:

    “Why bother advertising?”

Because maybe he doesn’t live in a ghetto like the rest of you…

  12. Goggles Pizano says:

“took a picture from my front room”… cuz it would have been WAY too tiring to actually walk out to it to take the picture. Oi.

  13. Lady says:

I don’t get why they didn’t take the picture of the tv while they were putting it out there.

Did they put it out and then go back inside and say.. you know this posting could really use a picture. Aw man, but then that makes I’ll have to walk all the way out side and .. ugh I just changed into my robe, oh screw it I’ll just take the picture from the living room.

  14. Lady says:

er that means I’ll have to walk*

  15. Joe Mama says:

Where I live if you put that outside with a sign saying “FREE” on it, it won’t get taken. But if you put a sign with a price on it someone will steal it as soon as they can. Seems like people won’t bother taking something that’s free, but if they think it has monetary value they’ll steal it.

  16. Pseudo3D says:

This is the first time I’ve felt sorry for an actual item here.

  17. Deanne says:

I think y’all are making a lot of assumptions here. How do we know the TV isn’t turning its back on the owner? *I* think what happened is the TV got fed up with the abuse over the years (kicking its side when the picture went out, etc.), stood haughtily, gave a dramatic farewell speech, and marched its happy a** to the curb to wait for a friend to come pick it up. That’s why the owner had to take that picture – the TV kept turning its back to him.

  18. Taneer says:

Nothing wrong with this ad. If I wanted a TV, i.e., if I were searching Craigslist for a TV, then I would take it.
