Fare Thee Well

It’s been a nice year, hasn’t it? We’ve gone skateboarding. We’ve found ourselves a vacation home and a couple sweet rides. We met interesting people, debated hygiene, and enjoyed rare artifacts.
Alas, the demands of life will keep us from updating the blog. We’ll still appear on other Cheezburger Network sites here and there, though you may have to squint to see us.
You can always find us leading our minions in the City of INAD. Come visit. If you can’t, well, I hope you’ll remember us fondly. Like Cop Rock and Homeboys from Outer Space before us.
I was still trying to get the $10K together to join City of INAD!
Guess I’ll just hang out here in San Berdoo, waiting for 2012, or your return to the interwebs, whichever comes first.

It’s all been good – no, great.
Note to all fellow INAD addicts: CL’s free pages are still populated by insane posters trying to get rid of “stuff”.
This site has been good for the run it has had, and it is disappointing that the site will no longer have new postings.
As someone with experience in websites, I personally along with some associates of mine would be willing to continue the site, if a good enough deal could be made.
Unfortunantly noone ever replied to the email I sent in.

Oh please don’t go. I don’t care that the site doesn’t get updated daily. Just do it once a week. It’s okay. Surely there’s an intern somewhere who could sort the entries and do the posting. But you would have to write those funny comments.
P.S. I’ll see you on cheeseburger. Please keep that site going. I can carry on without the funny, maybe, but without the cute, I just don’t know.

Don’t sell yourselves short, you were waaay better than coprock. But can’t you find someone else to run the blog? Blog under new management or something? Please please, find someone at home, like me, that has time to dedicate. I bet lots of people would be willing to chip in. <3 you will be missed, and like a stalker we will pretend you will be back!

Hi Liz and other wonderful folks. Thank you for the love. Why this one, you ask? Well, unlike the others you list, nobody came to this one. The stars weren’t aligned (I like to say that instead of “I wasn’t funny enough.”). So we all agreed that we would stop putting resources behind something that was, let’s say, underappreciated. I know some of y’all “got me,” and I’m deeply grateful for it, but it was a wee bit too niche in its appeal. Again, I’m grateful that so many of you enjoyed what we had to offer, and that not everyone who read the blog wanted to fight with me about scrap value. Scrap value isn’t funny.
Scrap value is *dang* funny if it’s being discussed here. … Perhaps this blog is as underappreciated as all those couches on Craigslist? It doesn’t deserve to be, though.
***sigh*** another victim of the “monetization” of the blogosphere. I’m glad someone at least took the time to explain the real reason. Money. It’s not that “nobody came to this one”, it’s that the blog did not make enough money. Thanks Stephen, best of luck to you.
Stephen, I have not had the Internet for quite awhile and have missed your blog terribly. This and emails from crazy people are the only two I keep up with on the Cheezburger Network, so I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again and just wanted to say goodbye and thank you for your work on this site. You are incredibly funny and have brought so much laughter and enjoyment to my life since I found your website. I was injured by my ex years ago and have had chronic pain and ill health since. I am also a single mom with three children and have struggles with trying every day to be a good mom. I have had very little in my life in the way of entertainment or fun of any kind, just for me (Baby Einstein and Blue’s Clues don’t really count). But this was. I love you and think you’re great. (And I never got why a few people said they just wanted the ads. They could go to Craigslist if they just wanted the ads. Half the time I couldn’t have identified what I was looking at without your comments.) You are very funny, and I apologize profusely again for my comment a long time ago, which I have apologized for via email but which was ignored, which I can understand. I hope you come back someday. Maybe this website just needs more promotion. I have told some people about it, and they were all interested.
It’s still sad. And you were always more than sufficiently funny!
I keep checking back anyway, in the vain hope that maybe you’ll be back posting “free” stuff.

I for one and not deleting the bookmark.
These were classics, and I will always come back to them.
I loved this blog, I’m sorry to see it go. But I thank you for all the laughs. It is better to leave before you become unfunny anyway. I wish you all the best!

I’m not deleting my bookmark either. This was my favorite CN site by leaps and bounds. I too was hoping this downtime was temporary. The razor sharp wit found here was consitent and something I used to look forward to daily.
For those poor souls who don’t “get” the humor here… sucks to be you.
Still coming here as well…sort of like visiting a loved one that’s dead & buried. I get a little peace here, reliving the good old days.
Oh the memories, this site wouldn’t work with other people running it. The beauty was in the comments left in response to the CL post themselves. Yes, the free crap posted is usually abhorrent, but the wit of the captions is what will be missing. Sad, I will never forget the Free Plant (pot not included) post.

Great news, thanks for the update. For your overlords, funny does not mean “text-driven”. One of my most memorable lines from INAD was only three words” “wedge of ick”. Seeya ’round.
After over three months of reloading the site regularly, and without any new post showing up, I finally mustered the courage to look into the comment section of the last post.
Bad news, indeed. I’d have loved to see this continued. Puhleeze!
